Earth from Mars

The mathematical odds are greatly in favor of other planetary and galactic civilizations out there being 1000’s of years more advanced than we are. It’s not too much of a stretch to imagine that they have made contact with us over the millennia, maybe even had colonies here in the far distant past. It’s even possible that we are the result of DNA tweaking and modifications by enlightened ancient beings. Maybe they are cosmic gardeners who planted a seed somewhere along the way and now ten millennia later – an instant in time – they will return for the harvest. It will be a feast for all.

This planet Earth is truly a garden of Eden, an oasis in a vast desert, and as such is a valuable jewel in this region of the galaxy. Here in the latter days of those ten millennia, we have made a mess of things, creating terror and great destruction. We have assaulted our own mother with industrial poisons, waste and consumption, sickened ourselves with frankenfood/pills, and are at high risk of rendering ourselves extinct through our fascination with advanced weaponry and addiction to black ooze from deep under the ground.

It’s all great stupidity, of course. Greed, evil, selfishness, division. A world lost in an illusion.

Fact is, we are all humans of Earth. There are no countries from space, no political parties, no religions, no boundaries, just a natural garden growing, day after day, millennia after millennia. And we live here while it provides us the air, water, food and shelter we need to live.

Fortunately, as stupid as we sometimes act, this planet is such a shining jewel of the cosmos that those who put us here will never allow children playing with matches to destroy this planet. The worse the stupidity and madness of our civilization gets, the more likely their intervention will come sooner.

Thanks and welcome to them when they get here (and maybe they’ve been here all along, undercover).

The plot of this chapter of human history is quickly building to a climax, but be assured that help is on the way, even as we help ourselves, so relax. We have the next thousand years of peace coming and a galaxy to explore . . .

Isn’t it about time . . .

. . . we collectively lifted our thinking off the ground? Seems the closer our thinking is to ground level, the more trouble we have and more bad things happen. We don’t have to go anywhere to lift our thinking into the heavens, or at least off the ground, and living on earth can then only be better.

No matter our ethnic, cultural, political, theological, or individual backgrounds, we are all humans living in this time on the earth, we are growing more numerous, and the planet is growing ever smaller. We live in the most plentiful era of history, the most convenient and easy existence, where much is taken for granted. So why do we continue to struggle amongst each other, intimidate our neighbors, steal from each other, lie to each other with greed and apathy, pollute nature, and ultimately threaten to annihilate each other?

Something has to change, and it all starts when we collectively lift our thoughts into the heavens, one by one. That way we can change our own immediate surroundings at least. As momentum grows, and leaders begin making their decisions according to loftier thinking, our problems will dwindle, poverty will end, the senselessness and stupidity of war and violence will be revealed as it’s practice stalls, then stops, and this planet will grow lush and green again. We will then be welcomed into a galactic community of enlightened beings.

Yes, it’s about time, ya think?

Just Another Day in Paradise . . .

This planet is a good place to live. The rarest of jewels orbits a star, one of the billions in the Milky Way, one of the billions of galaxies found in this universe that is always growing, by 11 million miles a minute. There probably isn’t another biosphere like it within, oh, 100 quadrillion miles. The paper-thin atmosphere that keeps us alive in comfort is such a tiny, microscopic blip, a particle of dust in the vast nothing surrounding us.

I am perpetually amazed at nature’s self-sustaining, self-renewing . . . um, nature. Nature is paradise, left alone. With no effort on our part. the sun rises every morning, the earth spins in its orbit, at a perfect speed and distance from its sol source of life. Days, weeks, years, centuries, millennia pass as time streams relentlessly through timelessness. A thousand generations we have lived and died while moving through nature’s provisions.

In these generations of knowledge and technology we still pump our processed poison into nature and expect that nature should not rebel. Regardless of our abuse, nature yet grows itself and will eventually overcome our civilization. Resistance is futile! We will learn to run our machines on something other than 100 million year old sunshine, we will finally relax as a planet and cease the resistance to the urge to live with, and within nature. Our very survival depends on it.

We are nature, too, and when our way-of-life reflects nature’s example, today is just another day in paradise . . .
